Sandy Beach Wildlife Refuge

While the back bay area of Sandy Beach offers a very pretty section for exploration, the front beach area provides for primitive camping as well as a good swimming beach and access to the wildlife viewing trails. Sandy Beach is easily accessed from Angels Landing to the west or Henderson Guerry Landing to the east. It provides an excellent primitive camping situation for those wishing to extend their adventure into a two day trip. The 600 acre wildlife management area provides for bird watching, photography and wildlife observation on its many hiking trails from 1 March through 1 November of each year.
